Patrice de Conto 1:8 scale Ferrari 315S 1957 Mille Miglia #531 Wolfgang von Tripps, 2nd place. Chassis 0674. Unusually for the Mille Miglia von Tripps drove alone without a co driver, hence the tanneau cover for the passenger seat.

Patrice de Conto made aruguably the finest scale model racing cars ever made, with over 1500 hand made parts, including individually made spokes and 600 parts in the wheels alone, the attention to detail is incredible. The research of the car meticulous and every part of the model has been made exactly as it would have looked on the real car.

A 'kerbside' model measuring approx. two feet in length, the model sits on a bespoke base, made to look like the road surface of the period with a gloss black edge, Patrice de Conto and Minidelta gold etching at the end. The model comes with a further black base and perspex display cover. Produced in very small number, there are probably no more than 20 that have been made, very rarely coming up for sale and are no longer being made. This is a pre owned, one owner from new model, has always been displayed with the cover on and looks wonderful. Patrice de Conto has captured the feel and beauty of this Ferrari in an incredible way. Believed to be unique as ordered new with the front wheels straight as opposed to the standard turning/angled wheels.
