This is a professional, newly built 1:8 large scale Pocher model of the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza. The model comes in the very rare colour of Grey Campovolo Arbarth. This model has been superbly built in Italy to the highest standard with an incredibly detailed engine bay, cockpit and underside. The model sits in a glass display case with a mirrored base.
The 8C 2300 was designed by Vittorio Jano, built between 1931 and 1933 by companies such as Scuderia Ferrari. Only 188 Alfa 8C 2300's were built and only 10 were the Monza bodied version. It was powered by a water-cooled, double-overhead-cam, bi-block, 2446cc straight-eight engine. Italian Grand Prix victory at Monza gave the "Monza" name to the twin seater GP car. The Monza being the spacial racing version, driven to numerous victories by Tazio Nuvolari. The Alfa Romeo factory often added the name of events won, to the name of a car. Winning Le Mans and the Mille Miglia several times.
